Choosing your reference photos:
When selecting your reference image, please remember that my goal is to render your portrait as closely as possible to this image. Be mindful of the angle of the reference photo and any objects that may obscure details of the home.
Do not be concerned about bare trees, or lackluster landscaping; I can enhance the trees, add blooming flowers, and depict vibrant green grass, regardless of how they appear in your reference image.
Additionally, it is advisable to avoid choosing images taken during certain times of day, such as dawn or dusk, as the shadows and lighting can significantly affect the true colors and details of the home.
If you have any questions about your reference image(s), feel free to contact me at feltedfoundations@gmail.com
Images that are not usable:
~ Images that cut off parts of the exterior of the home. I can’t felt what I can’t see.
~ Images with vehicles or other unwanted objects covering part of the home's exterior.
~ Images where the house is too far away, for example, a pulled back aerial shot from a drone.
~ I can certainly use a black and white image for structure purposes. However, we will need to discuss the colors and details of the entire home. Similar details will be needed for images with snow coverage.
~ Keep in mind, images with harsh shadows and low lighting can significantly affect the true colors and details of the home.
~ Submitting multiple images of the home is excellent for understanding its color and details
Images that are usable:
~ Well lit, unfiltered, good quality images make the best reference image!
~ Listing images are great! They typically show the entire exterior of the home and the true colors of it. If your image shows surrounding buildings, we can discuss if you would like them included in your final portrait or not.
~ It is possible that I will still have you confirm colors of certain parts of the home. You know the home much better than I do!
~ It is possible to use an image for the structure of the home even if the details are different from the way you want your portrait rendered. I can not combine multiple images to make one portrait but we can discuss details such as window panes and the color of the front door if they happen to be different from your reference image.
